Also, I review your risk retention strategy and suggest possible risk finance alternatives to traditional insurance such as captives or alternative risk transfer products if appropriate.

I can help you improve the management of frequent operational claims by improving and implementing claims handling processes and streamlining (existing) insurance suppliers services.
For complex claims, I can help you to achieve a quicker resolution by, for example, aligning the internal and external stakeholders into a common path and strategy, or identifying and solve bottle necks. This all to achieve a faster and more satisfactory claims resolution.

My Story
I started my insurance career in London, gaining expertise in financial lines insurances, such as Director and Officers Liability and Professional Liability insurances, and worked with clients from Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Moving to the Netherlands, I deepened my knowledge in liability, marine, specialty insurance, captives and alternative risk transfer, and managed large-scale insurance programs across various sectors, particularly logistics.
In 2013, after earning my MSc in Enterprise Risk Management, I joined Philips, where I played a key role in the spin-off of Philips Lighting (Signify). I managed the disentanglement of insurance programs acting for the newly created company, purchased IPO-related insurance, and hired a new insurance team. Over the following years, I implemented strategic changes to align insurance protection with company objectives through periods of transformation and market shifts. It was challenging, but incredibly rewarding to have contributed in such pivotal period of Signify.
In addition to my corporate roles, I served on the board of the Dutch Association of Insurance and Risk Managers for the last six years, contributing to the profession and discussing trends with the insurance industry.
Today, I run my own consultancy, helping businesses across the globe protect their interests with customized insurance strategies.
